      ordering & pricing

Crafting a guitar is more than a transaction — it’s a deeply personal journey. Each year, I handcraft a small number of instruments in my workshop, dedicating careful attention to every detail. This approach ensures that craftsmanship and tonal quality always take top priority.

How to order a custom guitar?

I invite you to send me a message or give me a call to get the conversation going. Once we have dialed in the specs of your custom build, I will ask you for a non-refundable 30% deposit to reserve your spot in line, confirm your build slot and lock in today's base price. It covers the initial material costs and preparation of the design. However, if you need to postpone your build, the pricing is susceptible to change.

Custom instruments are created in the order they're received. Expect a delivery window of 6 to 8 months from your deposit date.

      Pricing & Options

The base price for a model 15 3/8 guitar is €4,300. Please note that VAT, shipping, and CITES documentation (if applicable) are not included in the base price.

For a full breakdown of available tonewoods, various upgrades, and detailed pricing, download the current pricelist or reach out so we can chat about your dream guitar.

      Shipping

I ship worldwide via fully insured carriers. Shipping costs vary by destination and will be calculated at the time of final payment. You will receive tracking and handling information once your instrument is on its way. If your build includes regulated tonewoods, I’ll provide the necessary paperwork for international transit. Please be aware this may slightly extend your delivery timeline.

      Student Discounts

I believe in supporting the next generation of musicians. Full-time students are eligible for a 10% discount on the price of any custom build. Valid student ID required at the time of ordering.

      In-Stock Instruments

In addition to custom builds, I regularly craft guitars for exhibitions and trade shows. These instruments are available for immediate purchase and often feature unique tonewood combinations, custom appointments, or experimental designs.

You can view current availability on the respective subpage for each instrument. If one catches your eye, feel free to get in touch — these pieces are one-of-a-kind.

      service

Whether your guitar has a cracked top, worn frets, a broken headstock, or simply needs a setup to play its best — I’m here to help. I work on guitars and other fretted instruments, providing everything from minor adjustments to complete structural repairs.

All repairs and maintenance are carried out right here in the workshop, using expert craftsmanship, experience, and the proper tools to ensure the best results. Take a look at the repair services and price guide for details on what I offer. For an accurate quote, please schedule an appointment and bring your instrument by — I’ll assess its needs and provide honest advice.

      Hi, I’m Lukas.

In my workshop, I build modern archtop guitars by hand, each with its own unique details. My approach blends traditional techniques from classical guitar, lute, and viol making with modern materials and processes.
My goal is to create high-quality instruments in close collaboration with the player — guitars that not only inspire but give musicians a voice to fully express themselves.

After studying in Markneukirchen, completing my master craftsman’s certification, and gaining experience working with Andreas Cuntz, I now share a workshop in Rothenburg ob der Tauber with Max Spohn and Milena Schmoller.

Feel free to get in touch with your ideas, questions, or requests.
Thank you for your interest in my work!
